About

Kate

Thank you for taking the time to visit Friends of the Stork.

My name is Kate Hookom. I have a degree in early childhood education from The Ohio State University where I graduated summa cum laude. I am also currently in the process of becoming an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant).

For the past ten years I have had the privilege of serving as a nanny and babysitter. During this time, I noticed a need among mothers with new babies for an extra set of hands. That is why I founded Friends of the Stork--a service addressing their needs.

My goal is to provide assistance and support so that new parents can more fully enjoy this time in their lives. I have experience aiding mothers with their breastfeeding, finger feedings (due to a weak suck), bottle feedings, as well as caring for mothers after a cesarean section.

I would love to get to know you and see how I can assist you at this exciting time in your life. Please feel free to contact me.

Thank you,

Kate
